    • Hi there Derek,

As you can see, I am in Boston, MA, originally from NYC. Am I a country music fanatic? Absolutely not. But do I know good music when I hear it? Yes. You bring a kind of soul and passion into your music that makes it contagious; I can't stop watching your youtube video of best friend with your little nephews and niece.

I've been a musician and songwriter since I was 13, 8 years ago. You've been an inspiration to me with a couple of my own original songs and I just wanted to say thank you for doing what you love to do. Don't you listen to anybody out there who are telling you to do this or do that, or wear this or wear that. Keep being the cute little thing you are and keep the fire, joy, pain in your music--I love it.

All my love and luck your way,

      Jess

    • Derek, its hard to find true talent these days! I am a country music fan, but I enjoy all genres as well and man I would totally like to see you put a major record out! Unless you already have and I somehow missed it, but I am looking forward to seeing your name on the record stand and hear it on the radio! Great job!

    • Hey caught your YouTube. Video. Lipps of an angle

Dude I love acoustic songs and dude you rocked that song

      Awesome job.......keep going .. rock_on

    • hey i just started watching ur youtube videos and got the link to here and i think ur really cool guy and your doing good and dont give up on what you have...i look up to you

    • Hi just wanted to say your voice is amazing. I first saw you on youtube when i was looking for Gary Allens song "Today" and I'll have to admit you sound just like him. I love it. Your doing great. I wish I could play the Guitar I'm starting to try. I'm 30 and I love to sing but need to learn to play so I cant put music to my songs, any tips you have I'd love to hear from ya.

    • Love the way you sing. Covers are awesome and your origionals are amazing. I play/sing/write myself and everytime I listen to you it gives me the urge to pick up and play and get better. Learned a few of your songs through videos and by ear like the guitar tabs section ya got. If get a chance I think it would be cool to see a lesson or get the tab for Couldn't Even Say...Thanks man.

    • I would really like to hear you sing "Do you wish it was me", by Jason Aldean. I expect to buy a ticket to your concert when you are playing in front of 50,000 people. Keep it up. You got it going on!!!

    • You are really great, I became fan the same day I saw your performance on YouTube. I have to replay for my girlfriend birthday with my guitar your adaptation of Beautiful (Akon) but don't have the right steps. The video on YouTube doesn't show how you place fingers....

    • Hey man. First off great name! lol! Look, I'm a Marine and found your songs on youtube. I think you're great. You've gotten me through ALOT of shit already. From PTSD to depression, and divorce. YOUR songs have in some way helped me. Trust me bro, I can relate. I dont know how else to contact you, but I've definately become a fan. Keep doin whatever it is that you're doin. And trust me, if I still had the money that she spent from my last deployment, I would throw you 500 and have you write a song to the Marines and Soldiers fighting everyday for this country. Sorry, ramblin'. Keep makin music man...you have the gift. Semper Fi Derek Cate, I hope YOU read this.
